Weak and dissipating low pressure has moved NE inland into AL. A A cold front associated with this low is stalling, and early this morning stretches from the FL Panhandle to Brownsville. A second stronger cold front has just moved off the TX coast, and this front will merge with the first and race SE and through and out of the Gulf by late this evening. In its wake, low pressure will dive S and settle into the area through the end of the week. Behind the strong cold front, gales are developing off the TX coast and will envelop most of the W Gulf today. Storm conditions will develop offshore Veracruz this afternoon and evening. Gale conditions will prevail in the broader SW Gulf through tonight, before N winds diminish to strong Thu. Hazardous seas will gradually subside Thu and Thu night. Another cold front is likely move into the NE Gulf Fri night or early Saturday. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... High pressure north and east of the Caribbean in combination with low pressure over South America will maintain strong northeast to east winds pulsing each night into the start of next week off the Colombian coast. A cold front will move into the NW Caribbean this evening, then move SE and stretch from E Cuba to E Honduras by Thu evening. The cold front will gradually become stationary over the weekend from Hispaniola to Costa Rica. Heavy rainfall and localized flooding possible as this front passes through S Mexico and Central America during the end of the week.
