Fresh S flow is expected today ahead of a cold front that will move off the TX coast this evening. Strong high pressure will surge S into the Southern Plains and reinforce this cold front Tue, causing it to surge SE. By Tue night, this front should stretch from the FL Panhandle to Bay of Campeche, and it should clear SE of the area on Wed night. Strong N gales will develop over the SW Gulf and western Bay of Campeche Wed and continue through Wed night. Strong N winds and higher seas are expected elsewhere. High pressure will settle into the area for the end of the week, bringing improving conditions. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Expect strong NE to E winds to pulse nightly off the Coast of Columbia into the weekend. A weak stationary front located just S of Hispaniola and across the Mona Passage will dissipate as it begins to move slowly E today. To the N and W of this front, fresh to strong E to NE winds are expected in the less of Cuba and Hispaniola as well as the Windward Passage into Tue. A cold front will enter the NW Caribbean Wed evening, then stretch from central Cuba to Honduras by Thu night, the move toward the central Caribbean while weakening into the weekend. Fresh to strong N winds are expected behind this front. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A slowly cold front extends early this morning from just N of Puerto Rico across the Mona Passage. This front will slide east across the Virgin Islands today, then dissipate Tue. Behind this front, low period N swell will gradually decay into Tue. Strong S to SW winds will develop off the N FL coast tonight in advance of a cold front. These winds will prevail through Tue evening, then the front will move off the SE US coast. This cold front will reach the Bahamas by late Wed, then weaken as it reaches the far eastern waters and Hispaniola by Fri.
