A strong cold front extends from southeastern Louisiana to 26N93W and to near Veracruz, Mexico as of 18Z. A second cold front has moved into the NW Gulf and extends from south-central Louisiana to 24N97W. A vigorous squall line consisting of numerous strong to severe thunderstorms is just ahead of the first front north of 24N. The squall line will continue racing eastward across the north-central and NE Gulf through this evening, while the second front catches up with the first and reaches from the western Florida panhandle to the central Bay of Campeche. The front will become stationary and weaken Sun, then drift northward as a frontal trough through Mon. Gale-force northwest to north winds are expected west of the front near the coast of Veracruz Mexico this afternoon and into tonight. Atlantic high pressure will build westward across the area Mon through Thu night. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Strong high pressure north of the area will allow for strong to near gale force winds to continue across the entire area through Tue. Strong gale force wind will continue in the south-central Caribbean through Tue night, then pulse to gale again at night on Wed and Thu.
