A stationary front extends from the Straits of Florida to 23N88W, to a 1011 mb low near 21N95W and from the low to 18N95W. The front will weaken through tonight. Relatively weak high pressure north of the front will shift northeast of the basin by early Tue. A cold front will move into the NW Gulf by early Wed, then weaken and become stationary in the northern Gulf by Wed night. Moderate to fresh southeast return flow will prevail across the western Gulf Thu through Sat, then mainly moderate southerly flow on Sat night as another cold front approaches the Texas coast. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... A stationary front from just north of western Cuba to just north of the Yucatan Channel will weaken through tonight. Gentle to moderate trades will increase to moderate to fresh speeds tonight, then to fresh to strong speeds in the central Caribbean Tue and Tue night, peaking at near gale near the coast of Colombia overnight Tue. The fresh to strong trades will spread to the western central Caribbean Wed with moderate to fresh elsewhere, except pulses of fresh to strong downwind of the Windward Passage, Lee of Cuba, and Lee of Dominican Republic. Fresh to strong trades will develop over the tropical N Atlc waters S of 15N tonight through most of Tue afternoon. Building seas with these winds will subside early on Wed. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A cold front extending from just E of Bermuda to the central Bahamas and Andros Island, and to the lower Straits of Florida will become stationary and weaken from near 31N65W to the central Bahamas by this evening. High pressure will build in the wake of the front. Another cold front is forecast to move across the forecast waters Thu and Thu night followed by fresh to strong west to northwest winds, and by large northerly swell that will will impact the NE waters. Mainly fresh northerly winds are expected across most of the forecast area in the wake of the front by Fri. Large northwest to north swell is expected over the NE waters and eastern section of the north-central waters from Thu night through Fri night.
