Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

A strong cold front extending from just N of Ft Myers Florida to
23N89W, then continues as a stationary front to the southern Bay
of Campeche near 18N93W. The front is stalling and will remain
near its current position through Sun night. The western portion
of the front will slowly lift N toward the W central Gulf Mon
and Tue. Gale force winds west of the front near Veracruz will
diminish by this afternoon. Strong high pressure behind the
front will support fresh to strong N to NE winds across the
basin this weekend.  

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

Moderate trade winds will prevail across most of the Caribbean
through Sun, then winds over the S central Caribbean will become
fresh to strong on Mon. Large long period NE swell affecting
tropical north Atlantic waters and Caribbean passages will
slowly subside through Sat night. 

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

High pressure N of the region will shift eastward ahead of a 
cold front moving into the far NW waters. The front will reach 
from 31N75W to central Florida later today, then stall tonight 
and Sat. Reinforcing high pressure will push the front southward 
to near the northernmost Bahama Islands Sat night and Sun. Large 
NE swell affecting the area NE of the Bahamas will gradually 
subside Sat and Sun.
