Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

An area of showers and thunderstorms is over the central Gulf.
Winds and seas could be higher near tstms. This area of moisture
is forecast to move northward under a southerly wind flow ahead
of the next frontal boundary. A strong cold front will move into
the NW Gulf early Thu, then extend from the Florida Panhandle to
the central Bay of Campeche by Thu evening, and from central 
Florida to the eastern Bay of Campeche by Fri morning. Gale force
winds and building seas of up to 15 or 16 ft are expected W of 
the front along the coasts of Tamaulipas and Veracruz Thu through
Fri. A Gale Warning has been issued with the 12Z forecast
package.

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

Fresh to locally strong trade winds are expected near the coast
of Colombia today. Moderate trade winds will prevail across most
of the Caribbean through Fri night. Reinforcing large N-NE swell
will propagate through the tropical north Atlantic waters and
all Caribbean passages Wed through Fri. Seas are forecast to
build to 8 or 9 ft across Mona and Anegada Passages. 

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

Reinforcing high pressure will build southward across the region
through Thu with freshening winds. Large long period  N-NE swell
will move into the NE waters Wed, and reach the SE  waters and
NE Caribbean on Thu, with seas expected to peak at 10  to 11 ft
Wed night through Fri.
