A cold front extends from near Apalachicola FL to 25N87W, then continues as a stationary front to the W side of the Yucatan Peninsula near 18N93W. As the remainder of the front stalls and weakens today and tonight, winds and seas will gradually diminish over the western Gulf. What remains of the front over the eastern Gulf will lift northward into the SE United States by Wed. Another strong cold front is expected to move into the NW Gulf Thu. Strong N winds behind the front could reach gale force Thu and Thu night. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Moderate trades are expected across most of the Caribbean through Wed night. A tropical wave over the far western Caribbean will lift NW into the SE Gulf of Mexico today. A second tropical wave just west of the Lesser Antilles will reach the central Caribbean Mon and the western Caribbean Wed. Large long period northeast swell affecting the Leeward Islands will begin to slowly subside by Tue.
