The remnant low pressure that was Tropical Storm Imelda is inland over coastal Texas near 31N95W. Showers and thunderstorms will persist into the morning off the north Texas coast, but winds and seas continue to diminish over the northwest Gulf. The low pressure will continue to weaken as it moves farther inland through Fri. Meanwhile, high pressure will build over the north central Gulf in the wake of Imelda tonight, supporting gentle to moderate winds through mid week, except for moderate to fresh winds off the west coast of Yucatan at night. The high pressure will dissipate later in the week in advance of a weak cold front that is forecast to move across the eastern Gulf of Mexico then stall and dissipate over the southeast Gulf Fri into Sat.
