Relatively weak high pressure will continue just north of the Gulf through tonight maintaining gentle to moderate easterly flow throughout. Stronger high pressure will begin to build in from the northeast across Florida and the eastern Gulf Tue through Fri allowing for fresh northeast to east winds to exist over the eastern Gulf, including the Straits of Florida, and over most of the central Gulf. Northeast winds will pulse to fresh speeds to the northwest of the Yucatan Peninsula each evening during the period after pulsing to fresh to strong tonight. Expect for wave heights to build to about 7 ft in the Straits of Florida Tue night through Wed night. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... High pressure ridging will remain to the north and northeast of the basin through the week. The ridging will maintain moderate trades, except pulsing to fresh to strong speeds in the south- central Caribbean and near the coast of Colombia beginning this evening. A tropical wave near 58W south of 15N will move across the rest of the Tropical N Atlantic by early this evening, then across the eastern Caribbean tonight through Wed and the central Caribbean Thu and Thu night.
