Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

Weak high pressure will prevail across the basin through the
weekend, producing gentle to moderate winds, that will
strengthen some early next week.  

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

Weak Atlc ridge extends from the central Atlc to the SE Bahamas.
A tropical wave along 87W will shift W of the basin tonight. A
tropical wave along 55W will move across the Tropical N Atlc
waters today and tonight and enter the eastern Caribbean Fri.
Fresh to strong tradewinds will pulse in the S central Caribbean
tonight. Otherwise, mainly moderate to fresh tradewinds are
expected.  

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

Hurricane Dorian is now N of the area near 32.5N 79.1W  958 mb
at 1500 UTC moving NNE at 7 kt. Maximum sustained winds  95 kt
gusts 115 kt. Tropical storm force winds on south side of Dorian
will lift out of the NW waters this afternoon as Dorian   moves
to near 33.5N 78.0W at 00 UTC tonight and exits the region Fri.
Large northerly swell from Dorian will dominate the SW N  Atlc
through the weekend and continues to produce high seas within
the Gulfstream offshore of central and SE Florida. Much more 
tranquil marine conditions are forecast by early next week.
