Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

High pressure will continue across the Gulf of Mexico through
Sun night, maintaining gentle to moderate winds and slight seas.
 

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

Tropical Storm Dorian near 17.5N 64.5W 999 mb at 11 AM EDT
moving NW at 11 kt. Maximum sustained winds 60 kt gusts 80 kt.
Dorian should strengthen to a hurricane near 18.7N 65.7W this
evening, move to 20.5N 67.0W Thu morning north of the Virgin
Islands and Puerto Rico. The Bermuda high and Colombian low will
promote fresh to strong NE trade winds over the south-central
Caribbean today, but diminish on Thu.  

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

Tropical Storm Dorian near 17.5N 64.5W 999 mb at 11 AM EDT
moving NW at 11 kt. Maximum sustained winds 60 kt gusts 80 kt.
Dorian will strengthen to a hurricane near 18.7N 65.7W this
evening, move to 20.5N 67.0W Thu morning, 22.4N 68.4W Thu
evening, 24.2N 69.9W Fri morning, and 26.5N 74.0W Sat morning.
Dorian may continue to intensity as it moves toward the
northwest to near 27.7N 77.7W early Sun, and continue toward the
west-northwest near 28.6N 80.3W Mon.
