Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

High pressure will prevail over the forecast waters through Thu
night. The high will maintain moderate to fresh south to 
southeast winds over the waters west of 90W. Winds will be 
mainly light to gentle east of 90W. 

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

Fresh to strong trade winds over the south-central Caribbean 
will gradually increase in areal coverage through Mon. Fresh to 
strong east to southeast winds will pulse over the Gulf of 
Honduras at night Mon through Wed. Tropical Storm Dorian near 
11.0N 51.6W 1008 mb at 5 AM EDT moving W at 11 kt. Maximum 
sustained winds 35 kt gusts 45 kt. Dorian will move to 11.3N 
53.3W this afternoon, 11.8N 55.5W Mon morning, 12.4N 57.7W Mon 
afternoon, 13.2N 59.9W Tue morning, and 14.2N 61.9W Wed morning. 
Dorian will strengthen to a hurricane near 15.2N 63.9W early Thu,
then weaken to a tropical storm near 17.1N 67.6W Fri.

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

A developing area of low pressure NE of Cape Canaveral Florida 
near 29N79W will track NE away from the coast of Florida into the
western Atlc today and tonight. Winds converging on the east side
of this system will continue to bring scattered to numerous 
showers and thunderstorms, some with strong gusty winds and rough
seas, over the waters west of 72W the next couple of days. 
Environmental conditions appear conducive for gradual development
of this system, and a tropical or subtropical depression is 
likely to form within the next few days while the system moves NE
offshore of the southeastern United States. Otherwise, gentle to
moderate southeasterly winds will continue across the area. 
Tropical Storm Dorian will approach the southern waters, possibly
as a hurricane, the middle of next week.
