Favorable upper-level conditions in combination with a middle level trough S of 28N near 78W and a surface trough near 78W continue to support numerous showers and thunderstorms over much of the central and northwestern Bahamas. This activity has become better organized since yesterday. Additional slow development of this system is possible during the next several days while it moves northwestward toward the Florida peninsula, and then turns northeastward off the southeastern coast of the United States.
