Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

A stationary front is over the northern Gulf states producing a
band of showers and tstms over the northern Gulf waters. Winds
and seas could higher near tstms. Moderate to fresh SW winds are
expected over the NE Gulf ahead of the front. Winds will pulse
to fresh over the western Yucatan Peninsula adjacent waters each
evening associated with a surface trough. Otherwise, surface
high pressure will establish in the region Fri and prevail
through Mon.  

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

A tropical wave with axis near 72W will move across the western
Caribbean Fri and Sat. The passage of the wave along with high
pressure north of the area will continue to support fresh to
strong tradewinds in the central and southwest Caribbean through
Fri and in the NW Caribbean Sat and Sun. Fresh to strong winds
will resume in the south-central basin Mon evening supported by
a new tropical wave that will move across the region. An area of
showers and tstms is over the SW Caribbean. Winds and seas could
be higher near tstms. 

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

Surface ridging extending from the Bermuda High will persist
across the forecast waters through Mon. This pattern will
maintain mainly gentle to moderate winds north of 22N, and 
moderate to fresh winds south of 22N through most of the period.
Fresh to strong winds are expected between Turks and Caicos and 
Hispaniola during the evening and night hours through Fri night.
