Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

The remnants of a stationary front continues to generate
scattered showers and tstms over the northern half of the basin
while a surface trough over the Bay of Campeche support similar
conditions over SE Mexico adjacent waters. This trough will form
over the Yucatan Peninsula everyday then move over the Bay of
Campeche at night with fresh to strong winds. Otherwise, surface
ridging will prevail across the remainder basin the entire
period. 

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

The gradient between high pressure to the N and lower pressure
over northern Colombia will maintain fresh to strong trade winds
across most of the central and SW Caribbean through Mon,
resuming on Wed evening. Winds will pulse to near gale force at
night along the coast of Colombia and over the Gulf of Venezuela
tonight through Sun night. A tropical wave will move into the
tropical Atlantic waters today and across the Lesser Antilles on
Sun. Fresh to strong winds and rainshowers associated with this
tropical wave will be affecting mainly the Windward Islands. 

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

A stationary front over the NW waters will continue to weaken
through Sun and dissipate Mon. Moderate to fresh NE winds will
prevail N of the front through early Sun. Light to gentle winds
will dominate the region, except for the SE forecast waters
where a tighter pressure gradient will support moderate to fresh
 E to SE winds.
