Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

A nearly stationary from extends from 29N83W to a 1014 mb low
near 27N92W to 22N97W. Isolated to scattered showers exist across
the Gulf of Mexico. Moderate northeast to east winds north of the
front will prevail today, but the front and low will weaken,
leading to lessening winds into the weekend. Surface troughs are
expected to form during the daytime over the Yucatan Peninsula,
then move west into the Bay of Campeche each night, leading to
showers and thunderstorms as well as fresh to possibly strong
winds.

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

The gradient between high pressure to the north and lower
pressure near the South American coast will maintain fresh to
strong trade winds across most of the central and southwest
Caribbean through the period, with pulses to near gale- force 
during the overnights along the coast of Colombia and Gulf of 
Venezuela.

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

A nearly stationary front north of the Bahamas will gradually
weaken and dissipate into the weekend. Closer to this frontal
boundary, moderate southerly winds can be expected. Elsewhere,
generally gentle breezes will prevail, except for north of
Hispaniola and the approaches to the Windward Passage where fresh
to strong winds will pulse during the nights.
