A high pressure ridge will remain near the northern Gulf coast through Sun night. Gentle to moderate east to southeast winds will generally continue across the basin, except winds will be fresh to strong to the NW of the Yucatan peninsula during the evening and overnight hours through Sat night, then mainly fresh winds afterwards. Scattered showers and thunderstorms confined to the far SW Gulf from 18N to 23N and between 94W and 96W are being sustained by an elongated upper-level low over the Bay of Campeche near 21N95W. This activity is expected to remain rather active through tonight and through early on Thu afternoon, at which time the upper low will be weakening along the northeast coast of Mexico. Satellite imagery shows large outflow boundaries racing northward away from the convection. Strong gusty winds and rough seas are likely accompanying these boundaries. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... High pressure north of the area will support fresh to strong trade winds over the central Caribbean through the forecast period. Winds will briefly increase to gale force along the Coast of Colombia this evening into early Thu, with seas expected to build to the range of 10-14 ft. Locally strong trades will affect the Gulf of Honduras each night. A tropical wave along 87W will exit the NW Caribbean early this evening. A series of tropical waves are lined up to move across the forecast waters over the next several days. A tropical wave is over the eastern Caribbean along 66W/67W. This wave will move across the rest of the eastern Caribbean through Thu, move across the central Caribbean Thu night through Sat, then across the the western Caribbean Sat night through Sun night. Another tropical wave will move across the Tropical N Atlantic waters during the rest of this afternoon and through tonight and enter the far eastern Caribbean Thu. This wave will move across the rest of the eastern Caribbean through Fri, the central Caribbean Fri night through early Sun and the western Caribbean during Sun through Mon. Yet another tropical wave is progged to move across the Tropical N Atlantic Sat through Sun afternoon and across the eastern Caribbean Sun evening through Mon night. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...
