Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

Weak high pressure will dominate the region through the weekend,
to produce gentle to moderate anticyclonic winds across the
Gulf. A weak frontal boundary will sink southward into the NE
Gulf late Mon, then drift SE and linger through Tue, where broad
low pressure may develop.  

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

Fresh to strong tradewinds prevail across south central portions
of the Caribbean tonight, as an active tropical wave is moving
across the far eastern Caribbean. Winds will strengthen across
most of the basin through late Sun as this tropical wave reaches
along 75W Sat morning, then reaches Central America on Sun.
Fresh to strong trades and seas to around 8 ft will linger
across the tropical N Atlc waters tonight through Fri behind the
tropical wave.  

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

An old frontal trough extends from 31N62W to 27.5N74W will drift
NW and slowly dissipate through Fri. High pressure  across the
central Atlc will then build westward and into the  Bahamas and
S Florida through the weekend. Fresh to strong winds  are
expected N of the Greater Antilles Fri and Sat as an active 
tropical wave moves through the central Caribbean.
