High pressure ridging will extend SW across the Gulf through Mon night. A cold front extends from near Houston Texas to Corpus Christi Texas. This front is expected to stall near the Texas coast later today through Sun night. The front will serve as a focus for showers and thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms tonight could be strong to severe and produce strong gusty winds. A thermal trough will develop over the Yucatan Peninsula then move W over the Gulf. The trough will support pulses of strong winds over the south central Gulf at night and into the morning through Sat morning, then winds will pulse to fresh speeds Sun through Tue night. Smoke and haze from ongoing fires in Mexico could reduce visibilities over the western Gulf and the Bay of Campeche during the next several days. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W...
