A reinforcing frontal trough extending from the Florida Keys to just N of the Yucatan Channel will shift E of the basin tonight while high pres across the western Gulf spreads eastward. The high pres will become centered NE of the area by the end of the weekend into early next week allowing for return flow to dominate the basin. The high will weaken by the end of next week as the next cold front attempts to move into the western Gulf. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... A stationary front over the far NW Caribbean will dissipate Sun. Moderate to fresh trade winds will prevail across the Caribbean and tropical N Atlantic, with the exception of strong breeze NE winds N of Colombia. Trades will slowly diminish through Wed night, then increasing back slightly towards the end of next week. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A slowing cold front extends from 31N73W through the central Bahamas to central Cuba. Fresh to strong southerly winds ahead of the front NE of the Bahamas will weaken through tonight. The front will reach from near 31N71W to the SE Bahamas Sun afternoon where it will stall and gradually dissipate. The remnants of the front will linger along 70W through much of the upcoming week.
