A cold front extends from the Straits of Florida to the Yucatan Channel this morning. High pres will build in the wake of the front with southerly return flow in the western Gulf increasing through Thu morning ahead of the next cold front that will move into the Texas coastal waters. The front will stall and pushing back inland through the day Thu as the high restrengthens. Another cold front will move into the western Gulf Sat evening into early Sun, shifting across the basin through the end of the upcoming weekend. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... A cold front is in the NW Caribbean Sea extending from western Cuba to the western Gulf of Honduras. The front will reach from central Cuba to eastern Honduras this afternoon where it will stall and weaken before dissipating Wed night. Fresh to strong winds will resume in the south-central Caribbean Sea early on Fri, as a ridge builds in the NW Atlantic Ocean. The slight increase in the pres gradient will also support fresh to strong trade winds in the Gulf of Honduras Fri night, continuing through the remainder of the weekend. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A cold front extends from 30N79W to 27N80W and supports scattered showers and isolated tstms across the Florida seaboard as well as the central and northern Bahamas. A low will develop E of Georgia Wed afternoon extending a trough into the NW waters. The low will move N of Freeport early on Thu before dissipating during the afternoon hours.
