A cold front extending from the Florida Panhandle to the eastern Bay of Campeche will reach from near Tampa Bay, Florida to the Yucatan Peninsula by Tue afternoon and exit the SE gulf by Tue night. High pres will build over the western half of the basin early on Wed and shift to the NE gulf early on Thu before dissipating ahead of the next cold front to come off the coast of Texas Thu morning. Fresh to strong return flow will develop over the western Gulf Wed night through Thu morning. This front is expected to lift back over Texas Thu. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... High pressure N of the region will support fresh to strong trade winds across the south-central Caribbean through Tue night. A cold front will reach the NW Caribbean Tue night, and extend from western Cuba to the Gulf of Honduras by Wed morning before dissipating. Fresh to strong winds will resume in the south-central Caribbean Fri evening as a ridge builds in the NW Atlc. The slight increase in the pressure gradient in the region will support fresh to strong trades in the Gulf of Honduras as well and continuing through the remainder weekend. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A ridge over the area will shift E ahead of a low pres tracking eastward from Mississippi to the SE U.S. by Tue night. A cold front associated with this low will reach the NW forecast waters early on Wed. The cold front will extend from 31N72W to the Florida Straits by Wed afternoon, and from 31N65W to the southern Bahamas on Thu afternoon. Fresh to strong SW winds are expected over the north waters ahead of the front, reaching near gale force N of 30N on Wed evening. Scattered heavy showers and thunderstorms associated with the front will affect the region through Fri.
