Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

Weak ridging will build across the southeast United States and
the northern Gulf today in the wake of a cold front that moved
southeast of the basin last night. The high pressure will shift
east later in the week ahead of a cold front and low pressure
area moving through the Central Plains. This will allow winds
and seas to increase over the western Gulf Sat. The front will
move off the Texas coast late Sun. 

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

High pres N of the area will support fresh to strong NE to E
winds across the S central Caribbean through Sun night, pulsing
to gale force tonight off Colombia and near gale force each
night thereafter. Otherwise, mainly moderate to fresh trade
winds will prevail across the Caribbean and tropical Atlantic W
of 55W through Sun night, except fresh to strong near the
Windward Passage at night tonight and Thu night, and in the Gulf
of Honduras this weekend. Fresh easterly swell will build in the
tropical Atlantic by the end of the week.  

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

A cold front extends from Bermuda to the northern  Bahamas to
the Straits of Florida. The front will stall from near 30N65W to
the Straits of Florida tonight. High pressure will  build in the
wake of the front and prevail across the area through Sun night.
