A warm front extending from the northern Florida Keys NW to the central Gulf near 26N89W will continue to lift N across the central and eastern Gulf through Wed night while dissipating. Active weather is expected in the NE and north-central gulf through Thu associated with it. Moderate return flow will dominate the Gulf of Mexico through Wed before becoming light and variable in the eastern half of the basin through Fri night. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... High pressure along the SE U.S. coast will shift E across the W Atlc through Wed behind a stalling Atlc cold front along 25N-26N. This will maintain fresh to strong trade winds across the central Caribbean, and Atlc passages through early Thu. Strong winds off the coast of Colombia will increase to gale force during the overnight hours through Wed morning. Long period N to NE swell in the Atlantic will subside gradually through tonight, before another round of long period N to NE swell propagates through those same waters beginning Wed morning through Sat night. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A cold front extends from 26N65W to 25N70W where it transitions to a stationary front that extends to northern Andros Island to the northern Florida Keys. The front will weaken along 25N-26N through tonight, then lift northward across the western waters Wed and Thu. Strong high pressure along the SE U.S. coast behind the front will shift eastward across the western Atlantic through late Wed and then into the central Atlc on Thu. A coastal trough will develop just offshore of the SE U.S. coast late Wed, and then shift eastward across the northern waters Thu through Fri.
