A cold front cuts across South Florida near 25.5N81W, to the south central Gulf of Mexico near 23.5N90W, to 20N94W. The front will reach the Florida Bay to the central Bay of Campeche this evening, where it will stall briefly. The weakening front will lift northward from late tonight through Tuesday, and dissipate across the NE Gulf of Mexico by late Wednesday night. Moderate return flow will dominate the western Gulf of Mexico from Wednesday through Friday, as high pressure from the Atlantic Ocean builds westward across the area. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... High pressure between Puerto Rico and Bermuda will shift ENE and into the central Atlantic Ocean through tonight, and then be replaced by stronger high pressure moving into the western Atlantic Ocean behind a cold front, from this afternoon through Wednesday. This will maintain fresh to strong trade winds across the central Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Honduras during the next several days. Strong winds off the coast of Colombia will increase to gale force during the overnight hours through Tuesday night. Long period N to NE swell in the Atlantic Ocean will subside gradually through Wednesday night, before another round of long period NW to N swell propagates through those same waters beginning on Thursday. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A surface ridge extends from a 1025 mb high pressure center that is near 29N45W, westward to Andros Island in the Bahamas. The ridge will shift ENE, into the central Atlantic Ocean by this evening. A cold front from 31N70W to Miami Florida, will reach from Bermuda to the Florida Keys by midday, before stalling and weakening along 26N through Tuesday night. High pressure behind the front will shift eastward across the western Atlantic Ocean from this afternoon through Wednesday night.
