A stalled frontal boundary across the Yucatan Channel and NW coast of Cuba will gradually lift northward over the Straits of Florida today and then across S portions of the Gulf late tonight and Sun. Low pressure is expected to develop along the frontal boundary in the W Gulf Sun, then move ENE toward Florida and the western Atlantic Mon as the front sinks southward across the Gulf late Sun and clears the area to the SE early Mon. N Gales are expected in the southwest Gulf on Sun along the front and then will shift Ewd along the front into the SE Gulf. High pressure will rebuild across the region behind the exiting low early next week. Another cold front will enter the Gulf on Tue. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... A stationary front over the Yucatan Channel will dissipate through early Sat. A cold front will move through the Yucatan Channel Sun night, then stall and dissipate over the northwest Caribbean early next week. NW swell prevailing over the Atlantic waters off the Leeward Islands will subside through the weekend. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A cold front extending from 31N69W to central Cuba will stall and weaken from Bermuda to western Cuba today. A second front will move off northeast Florida late today then stall from 31N72W to S Florida through early Sun. Weak low pressure along the stalled front over the Gulf of Mexico will move northeast across the Bahamas Sun night then to the waters between Bermuda and the Carolinas Mon, with narrow zone of gales developing on either side of front. The front will start to shift southeast in the wake of the low pressure, reaching from 31N73W to central Cuba by late Mon, before stalling and dissipating Tue.
