Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

High pres will prevail over the forecast waters through midweek.
Fresh northerly winds will follow a cold front entering the
northern Gulf Wed morning. The front will sink slowly S over the
Gulf through Thu night. Low pres may develop over the NW Gulf
along the next cold front expected to arrive on Sat. 

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

High pressure centered over the central Atlc will maintain fresh
to strong winds over the south central Caribbean through mid
week, diminishing slightly by the end of the week as the high
weakens. The highest winds are expected near the coast of
Colombia at night.  

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

A stationary front extending from near 27N65W to E of the SE 
Bahamas near 25N73W will stall along 24N east of the Bahamas Tue,
then become diffuse through Wed. A stronger cold front will 
enter the waters off NE Florida Tue night and Wed. This front 
will push SE and extend from Bermuda to central Cuba late Wed, 
from 26N65W to the Windward Passage by late Thu then stall and 
become diffuse from 24N65W to northern Haiti Fri. An area of gale
force winds is expected to accompany the deep convection 
preceding this front WED through Thu but all of the model 
guidance as well as the SREF and GEFS suggests that the gale 
force winds will be confined N of 31N during this time frame.
