A low pressure system will move NE from the coast of Texas Wed to the SE United States Thu, dragging a new cold front across the Gulf waters. Marine conditions are expected to deteriorate across the region Thu afternoon into Fri as the low pressure deepens over the SE of United States, with strong to near gale-force winds forecast over the Gulf waters N of 22N. Frequent gusts to gale-force will be possible in the northwest winds behind the cold front, with seas building to 8 to 14 ft. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... A nearly stationary front is over the NW Caribbean and extends from central Cuba to the Gulf of Honduras. The front will drift E across Cuba today, reaching eastern Cuba on Mon, then will dissipate across the Caribbean waters on Tue. Fresh to strong northerly winds are expected west of the front across the Gulf of Honduras through tonight. Fresh to strong winds will persist across the south-central Caribbean through the forecast period, with the strongest winds near the coast of Colombia mainly at night.
