A warm front extending from SW Florida to the Mississippi Delta will move N of the area as a cold front moves SE off the Texas coast this afternoon. The cold front will reach from the Florida Panhandle to the western Bay of Campeche overnight, reach from the Florida Big Bend to central Bay of Campeche on Mon, then move S of the area on Tue evening. Strong to near gale force northerly winds will spread S behind the cold front, increasing briefly to minimal gale force near 23N97W overnight into early Mon morning, with 40 kt gale conditions forecast across the far SW waters near Veracruz from early Mon through Mon evening. Associated winds are forecast to diminish to a fresh N breeze across the E gulf on Tue night as a quasi-stationary ridge sets up from the Mississippi Delta to central Mexico. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Large seas of 6 to 8 ft seas are forecast across the tropical waters E of the Lesser Antilles through Tue. Locally strong nocturnal trades, with seas to 8 ft, are forecast along the N coast of Colombia through the remainder of the week. Otherwise moderate trades are expected N of 17N, while fresh trades are generally forecast S of 17N through the period. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A cold front from 31N63W to 26N70W will move E of 55W overnight. Near gale force southerly flow will continue N of 26N E of the front with minimal gale conditons N of 30N between 62W and 55W this afternoon. The gale conditions will shift E of 55W early tonight, with seas of 8 to 12 ft gradually subsiding across the waters N of 27N between 60W and 55W on Mon and Tue. A 1013 mb surface low at 29N78W will shift N of the area this evening. A surface high over the central Bahamas will shift E to near 26N69W late tonight with a ridge extending W to the Straits of Florida. Fresh to locally strong SW flow will set up along the NE Florida coast early Mon ahead of another cold front moving off the SE United States coast on Mon afternoon.
