A weakening stationary front extends W from the Florida Straits to a 1011 mb surface low at 26.5N97W, with the stationary front continuing S to the Bay of Campeche. The low will move NE across the N-central gulf waters through tonight reaching the Florida Panhandle on Sat, then move E across northern Florida on Sat night while dragging a cold front across the northern gulf waters. Fresh southerly flow will set up across the northwest gulf on Sat night ahead of another cold front moving SE off the Texas coast on Sun afternoon, reaching from the Florida Panhandle to the Bay of Campeche early Mon, then stalling across the far SE waters on Tue, with remnants of the front lifting back N on Wed. Strong to near gale force northerly winds will spread S behind the cold front, increasing briefly to minimal gale force across the far W central waters and along the Mexican coast near Veracruz on Mon and along the far SW coastal portion on Mon evening. Associated winds are forecast to diminish to a fresh N breeze across the SE gulf on Tue night. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Fresh to locally strong trades are forecast across the tropical waters E of the Windwards on Sat night, with 6 to 8 ft seas then forecast across the tropical waters E of the Lesser Antilles on Sun through Tue. Locally strong nocturnal trades, with seas to 8 ft, are forecast to resume along the NW coast of Colombia on Sat night. Otherwise moderate trades are expected N of 17N, while fresh trades are forecast S of 17N through the period. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... Two weakening frontal boundaries extend NNE to SSW across the NW waters. A weak frontal wave low is developing just n of the northern Bahamas and will move N tonight into Sat dragging the fronts N as a single warm front. A large area of near gale force winds is observed across the waters N of 26N W of 63W with a small res of sustained minimal gale force winds expected across the waters N of 28N between 70W and 80W early this afternoon. This large area of enhanced winds will diminish from the S through Sun. Fresh to locally strong SW flow will set up along the NE Florida coast on Sun night ahead of cold front moving off the SE United States coast on Mon evening.
