A nearly stationary front stretches from the Florida Keys to SE of Brownsville near 25N96W to the southern Bay of Campeche near 18N94W. Weak low pres expected to develop along the front today will generate fresh to strong winds within 120 nm of the Texas coast. Winds and seas will subside tonight as the low dissipates. The next low pressure system will track along the northern Gulf Coast Fri through Sat. The low will generate strong winds over the NE Gulf Fri night and Sat. A cold front moving off the Texas coast late Sun night may induce gale force winds in the SW Gulf near Veracruz on Mon. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Fresh NE to E trade winds are expected along the coast of Colombia through Sun. Large long period NE swell over the Atlantic will continue to impact the waters east of the Lesser Antilles through tonight. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A weakening cold front from 29N65W to the Florida Keys will be overtaken later today by a reinforcing cold front that extends across the northern waters east of Florida from 31N73W to Daytona Beach. Low pressure will form along the combined front near the northern Bahamas on Fri, then intensify as it tracks NE off the SE coast of the United States Fri night through Sat night. Seas outside the Bahamas will build to between 10-16 ft Fri through Sat night. The forecast continues to favor the GFS solution, which tracks an upstream short wave to help spawn the developing low, and generate gale force winds on the N side of the low Fri and Fri night. The low will track NE, dragging a cold front over the northern Bahamas. The front will stall around 27N as the parent low tracks NE and deepens.
