A cold front extending from Fort Myers Florida southwestward to inland the northeastern section of the Yucatan Peninsula will move slowly southeastward across the rest of the eastern Gulf through early Sat afternoon, then become stationary from the Florida Keys to just NW of western Cuba and to the northern Yucatan Peninsula by Sat evening. Fresh to strong north to northeast winds behind the front will become east to southeast moderate to fresh winds tonight into Sun as the front dissipates and while high pressure over the area slides eastward. These winds will continue through most of Sun before becoming mainly east to southeast light to moderate winds Sun afternoon through Tue, and east light to moderate winds Tue night through Wed night ahead of the next cold front expected to move off Texas coast early Tue and reach from the NE Gulf to near 26N91W and stationary to near Brownsville Wed. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W...Updated High pressure north of the area over the central Atlantic will shift eastward through Mon. Strong trades along the coast of Colombia will diminish this afternoon, then pulse back up tonight before diminishing Sun afternoon. Strong trades will pulse within about 120 nm south of the Dominican Republic this morning and Sun. Elsewhere, trades will weaken Sun night and and Mon. A Gulf of Mexico cold front will becoming stationary from northwestern Cuba to the northern Yucatan Peninsula today and gradually dissipate through Sun. Scattered showers and thunderstorms along 19N between 55W and 63W in association with a weakening stationary front and an E to W oriented shear axis that is just to the north of the front. Expect for this activity to remain rather active through tonight, and possibly early on Sun. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A cold front extending from 31N80W to inland Florida near Cape Canaveral will reach from near 31N77W to along the southeast Florida coast around daybreak this morning. The cold front will begin to weaken as it reaches from near 31N73W to the NW Bahamas and stationary from there to the Florida Keys this afternoon. The front will weaken further through Sun, with its remnants lifting back N as a warm front through Sun night. A stationary front extending along 19N to the east of 63W will gradually dissipate through Sun night.
