A strong cold front across the NW Gulf from SE of Lake Charles, LA to S of Brownsville, TX will continue SE through tonight, with strong S to SW winds ahead of it. A squall line with strong to near severe thunderstorms ahead of the front will produce frequent gusts to gale force along the NW coast of Florida until this evening. The front will reach from near Biloxi, MS to just north of Veracruz, Mexico this evening, from near Cedar Key, FL to the NE Yucatan Peninsula Fri evening, then stall across the Straits of Florida to Cancun, Mexico Sat morning before shifting NW through Sun and lifting N of the area Mon. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... High pres near Bermuda will slowly shift ENE, then settle across the central Atlc this weekend. Moderate to fresh winds today and Fri will become fresh to strong this weekend across all waters east of 80W. A Gulf of Mexico cold front will move SE to the Yucatan Channel and far NW Caribbean Sat morning and stall, then drift NW and back into the Gulf late Sat. Trade winds will diminish late Sun through Mon as an inverted trough across the Atlc along 55W shifts westward to near 63W by Mon evening. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A cold front running from the central Atlc to just N of Hispaniola will stall from the Mona Passage to near 20N55W Fri, then will dissipate this weekend. Moderate swell associated with post tropical cyclone Oscar currently centered over the central Atlc near 45N45W will affect waters E of the Bahamas through Fri. Another cold front will move E of N Florida early Sat, preceded by strong S flow N of 29N Fri.
