A cold front extends from the Straits of Florida to 22N86W and to 22N89W, where it becomes stationary to 22N93W and to 20N97W as of 18Z. High pressure of 1020 is centered over eastern Texas near Corpus Christi. The cold front will becomes nearly stationary from central Cuba to the southwest Gulf this evening. A weak cold front will sweep across the northeastern Gulf from Sun night through Tue followed by high pressure that will shift E to the eastern Gulf waters late Wed night into Thu in response to a cold front that is forecast to move off the Texas coast Wed night. The cold front is expected to reach the from the NE Gulf to near 26N90W and stationary to the SW Gulf by late Thu. Moderate to possibly locally strong southerly winds are anticipated ahead of this front Wed and Wed night, with moderate to strong offshore winds behind it. A NE swell propagating away from Subtropical Storm Oscar currently well E of the forecast waters will begin to affect the far eastern sections Mon through at least early Wed. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Gentle to moderate trades will prevail across the Caribbean Sea through this evening, with the exception of generally fresh trades in the south-central sections. A cold front over the Straits of Florida this afternoon will move across the Yucatan and NW Cuba tonight, then become stationary from central Cuba to just NE of Belize early Sun, and gradually dissipate through Sun night. The fresh trades in the south-central Caribbean will become fresh to locally strong trades late tonight and Sun, then diminish to moderate to fresh trades Mon through Thu. Long period NE swell from Subtropical storm Oscar NE of these waters near 27.3N 48.4W at 15Z is expected to begin to impact the northern waters of the tropical N Atlantic zone AMZ127 Sun afternoon through Mon afternoon, with resultant seas of 8-9 ft. These seas subside to 4-7 ft Mon night as the swell lifts N of 22N. A weak tropical wave near 50W as of 18Z will move across the tropical N Atlantic waters through Mon night, across the Lesser Antilles late Mon night into Tue and over the eastern Caribbean Tue afternoon through Wed afternoon as it loses its identity. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A cold front extending from 31N72W to the NW Bahamas and to the Straits of Florida will reach from near 31N70W to 24N74W and to central Cuba by early Sun. Strong SE to S winds east of the cold front N of 28N will diminish by late tonight. A weak cold front will move over the northwest section of the area Mon through Tue. It will weaken as it becomes stationary from near 26N65W to the central Bahamas and to western Cuba Wed and dissipate by early Thu. The frontal remnants will lift back N as a warm front over the western half of the area Thu in advance of the next cold front that will be moving across the Gulf of Mexico at that time.
