A 1005 mb low pressure system inland over southeastern Alabama will move east-northeastward through tonight dragging a cold front across much of the Gulf. The front will be nearly stationary from central Cuba to the SW Gulf by Sat night. A weak cold front will sweep across the eastern Gulf from Sun night through Tue followed by building high pressure into Wed. W to NW winds 20-25 kt over the far northern Gulf behind the front to are diminishing to 15-20 kt. The 6-8 ft seas with these winds are subsiding to 5 to 7 ft, and will continue to subside through Sat. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Gentle to moderate trades will prevail across the Caribbean Sea through Sat. A cold front crossing the Gulf of Mexico will become stationary across Yucatan Channel Sat night and Sun. Fresh to locally strong trade winds are expected over the south-central Caribbean Sat night and Sun before weakening again on Mon through Wed. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A warm front extending from southern Georgia to 29N70W will lift N of the area tonight as low pressure over southeastern Alabama tracks east-northeastward. Strong E to SE winds E of Florida will continue through Fri. as a low moves across Georgia. A trailing cold front from the low will reach from 31N75W into the NW Bahamas Sat, then stall and weaken from around 31N70W to central Cuba on Sun. A weak cold front will move E of north Florida on Mon and Tue. The cold front will then become stationary from near 31N69W to 26N70W to eastern Cuba by early Wed.
