Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

High pressure will prevail over the forecast area through the
weekend. Low pres moving NW from the Caribbean has a medium
chance of developing into a tropical cyclone during the next two
days. Fresh to strong winds associated with this system will
start impacting the southeast gulf waters by Sunday night.  

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

A large cyclonic gyre will prevail over the northwestern
Caribbean through the weekend as it drifts NW toward the
south-central Gulf of Mexico. This system has a medium chance of
developing into a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours. Large
NNE swell will continue to pass through the Atlantic passages
into the eastern Caribbean through Sun.  

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

Large swell from Tropical Storm Leslie in the north- central
Atlantic will affect the forecast area through Sat night. High
pres over the region will shift east of the area by  early next
week.
