Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

High pressure will prevail over the forecast area. A surface
trough will develop each evening over the Yucatan peninsula. The
trough will move into the SW Gulf overnight, where it will
dissipate each morning. Moderate to fresh winds will accompany
the trough.  

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

A broad surface trough will prevail over the western Caribbean
throughout the week, with a large cyclonic gyre expected to
develop over this area by Fri. Large NNE swell generated from
Leslie will continue to move through the Atlantic passages into
the Caribbean.

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

Tropical Storm Leslie near 33.2N 54.3W 990 mb at 11 AM EDT 
moving W-SW at 4 kt. Leslie is expected to continue this motion 
and slowly strengthen to hurricane force through Wed before 
moving northward. Large and powerful swell generated from Leslie 
will affect the forecast waters throughout the week.
