Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

Gentle to moderate E to SE winds and seas 3 ft or less will
generally prevail through the middle of this week, courtesy of a
ridge situated just N of the Gulf. A surface trough will develop
over the Yucatan peninsula each evening, shift W over the SW 
gulf each night, then dissipate by morning. Moderate to fresh 
winds will accompany the trough. 

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

Tropical Depression Eleven near 13.8N 54.5W 1008 mb at 11 PM EDT
moving NW at 3 kt. Maximum sustained winds 25 kt gusts 35 kt.
Eleven will move to 14.2N 55.3W Sun morning, 14.5N 56.6W Sun
evening, and dissipate Mon morning. Tropical Storm Kirk near
9.0N 26.4W 1006 mb at 11 PM EDT moving WNW at 14 kt. Maximum
sustained winds 35 kt gusts 45 kt. Kirk will move to 9.4N 28.9W
Sun morning, 9.9N 33.0W Sun evening, 10.1N 37.3W Mon morning,
10.2N 41.8W Mon evening, and 10.6N 49.5W Tue evening. Kirk will
change little in intensity as it moves to 11.8N 55.0W late Wed,
and continue to 13.3N 60.0W Thu. Strong winds along the coast of
Colombia will diminish across most of the basin by tonight as 
low pres passing N of the Bahamas weakens the ridge over the 
western Atlc. Winds in this area will increase toward the end of 
this week as the ridge rebuilds.

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

Low pres centered near 29N65W 1011 MB will slowly drift W across
the northern forecast waters through early next week. Deep low 
pressure over the central Atlc will generate long period NE swell
which will cause seas E of the Bahamas to build Wed night 
through Thu night.
