A trough over the northwest Caribbean and Yucatan Channel will shift westward across the southern Gulf and Yucatan Peninsula this afternoon through tonight, and across the southwest Gulf Thu and Fri, before dissipating Sat. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... A trough over the northwest Caribbean and Yucatan Channel will continue moving westward and exit the area this afternoon, accompanied by active weather. A tropical wave entering the eastern Caribbean will move west across the central Caribbean Thu into Fri, and pass west of the area through late Sat into Sun. Meanwhile high pressure building from the central Atlc into the central Bahamas will support moderate to fresh trade winds and building seas across the entire basin late Wed through Fri. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A surface trough reaching from roughly Bermuda to the central Bahamas will shift slowly NW and weaken today as the central Atlantic ridge builds into the southern Bahamas. The low will sink to near 31N67W Fri evening then drift W and slowly weaken Sat and Sun. NE swell will dominate waters N of 26N over the weekend.
