A surface high is centered over the W central gulf near 28N93W with ridge extending SE to Florida Bay. The high will shift south to near 27N94W on Sun with the ridge shifting W to the Yucatan Basin, then become W to E aligned through the remainder of the week. A weak surface trough, extending SW from the remnants of tropical cyclone Florence, will linger across the north- central gulf waters through early next week. The remnants of tropical cyclone Isaac will move westward across Yucatan Channel and adjacent Gulf on Tue night and Wed, and across the southwest gulf waters on Thu. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... The remnants of tropical cyclone Isaac, a trough and ill defined low center along 73W, will continue moving westward across the central Caribbean today accompanied by a large area of thunderstorms, then pass through the western Caribbean early next week. Otherwise, gentle trades are forecast west of the trough, while moderate to locally fresh trades are forecast to the east of the remnants of Isaac, with strong nocturnal trades resuming Mon night through the rest of the week off the NW coast of Colombia. A tropical wave will pass through the tropical waters E of the windwards on Tue accompanied by fresh to locally strong trades and building seas and enter the E Carib early Wed. Peak seas 8 to 9 ft expected across the Atlc waters with this wave. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A ridge extending from 31N70W to SE Florida will gradually shift north to central Florida by early Mon where it meander through the middle of next week as Florence shifts gradually NW. A deep layered trough extends from N of the Mona Passage NE into the central Atlc to the W of Joyce and will shift west across the waters south of the ridge through Wed before lifting out of the area.
