Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

Active weather will continue across the NW Gulf coastal waters through
midday Sat as the disturbance moves NW and well inland. A weak 
ridge extends northwest to southeast from SE Louisiana to Florida
Bay will shift slightly westward through Sun with the ridge 
extending southeast to the Yucatan Basin into Mon. Remnants of
Isaac to move across Yucatan Channel and peninsula Wed and then
across S Gulf through Thu. 

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

Tropical Storm Isaac near 15.4N 69.5W 1002 mb at 0300 UTC moving
W at 13 kt. Maximum sustained winds 35 kt gusts 45 kt. Isaac
will move more WNW and reach near 15.7N 73.3W Sat evening, then
gradually weaken to a tropical depression near 16.7N 77.4W Sun
evening, before shifting NW and dissipating by late Mon.
Otherwise, gentle to moderate trades are forecast west of Isaac,
while moderate to locally fresh trades are forecast to the east
of Isaac and will freshen S central portions late Tue-Wed as
remnants of Isaac reach far W Carib and ridging builds in. 
Expect strong nocturnal trades off the northwest coast of 
Colombia on Mon and Tue nights as this occurs. A tropical wave
and llvl wind surge will reach the tropical N Atlc waters Tue
accompanied by fresh to strong trades and building seas 8-9 ft
behind wave axis. 

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

Tropical Storm Florence remains inland north of area. Mixed swell
from wind surge to N of Isaac and swell from several systems in
NE Atlc producing seas 7-10 ft across waters E of 75W attm and
will slowly subside next 24 hours. A ridge will meander from 
31N69W to southeast Florida through Sun, then shift north to a 
position from 31N74W to central Florida by the middle of next 
week. Deep layered troffing from central Atlc SW to N of 
Hispaniola will maintain NE to SW sfc trough through Mon before 
shifting westward and weakening Tue.
