Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

Tropical Storm Gordon near 26.9N 84.3W 1003 mb at 11 PM EDT 
moving WNW at 15 kt. Maximum sustained winds 50 kt gusts 60 kt. 
Gordon will move to 28.3N 86.3W Tue morning, strengthen to a 
hurricane near 30.0N 88.6W Tue evening before moving inland Tue 
night. Gordon will weaken as it continues inland to 31.6N 90.3W 
Wed morning, then weaken further to a tropical depression near 
32.9N 91.6W Wed evening, and to 34.6N 93.9W Thu evening. Winds 
and seas will diminish across the eastern and north central Gulf 
in the wake of Gordon. Fresh winds will pulse off the west coast 
of the Yucatan Peninsula in the evenings. 

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

A tropical wave extending from northeast Colombia to eastern
Haiti will pass through the western Caribbean by mid week.
Relatively weak ridging north of the region will maintain
moderate to fresh trade winds over most of the region through
Sat. 

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

Winds and seas have diminished over the Bahamas in the wake of
T.S. Gordon, currently in the eastern Gulf of Mexico. Gentle to
moderate easterly winds will persist through Sat, pulsing to
fresh off the northern coast of Hispaniola mainly at night.
