A ridge will dominate the Gulf waters into the weekend and support gentle to moderate winds. A surface trough will develop each evening over the Yucatan Peninsula before moving W and offshore into the SW Gulf during the overnight hours. A surge of moderate to fresh NE to E winds will accompany this trough each night. Ample moisture has converged across much of N and NE Gulf and will likely lead to wet and active weather next several days as SE llvl flow persists. Models showing potential for N portion of tropical wave moving across NE Carib today to gradually makes its way across S FL Mon and into SE Gulf on Tue and Wed. Llvl trof and/or low could develop from this, and would increase winds and seas to the NE of this feature and also focus weather. Slight chance for tropical cyclogenisis also attm. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Nocturnal winds will pulse to fresh to strong winds in the south-central Caribbean the next several nights. Gentle to moderate winds will prevail elsewhere. A tropical wave in the E Caribbean will move W across the basin, accompanied by active weather across N portions of the basin and Greater Antilles. Sharp troffing associated with this wave greatly reducing pres gradient across the S central speed max zone and not forecast to return to typical pattern until Sun. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... High pres will remain centered SW to W of Bermuda through the forecast period. A tropical wave moving across the E Caribbean and adjacent Atlc will produce active weather as it moves westward across the southern waters and Bahamas through Mon. N portion of wave expected to shear off and could become better organized into a sharp trough or low as it reaches NW Bahamas late Sun-early Mon then moves WNW across S Florida Mon. Increased winds, seas and weather should be expected to the E and NE of this feature as it move through Bahamas and across FL.
