A surface trough has shifted off the Yucatan peninsula into the SW Gulf. Latest surface observations indicate moderate to fresh winds over the SW gulf in the vicinity of the trough, as well as over the SE gulf. Gentle to moderate winds prevail elsewhere. Seas are in the 1-3 ft range. A surface trough will develop each evening over the Yucatan Peninsula before pushing offshore into the SW Gulf. A surge of moderate to fresh NE to E winds will accompany this trough. Otherwise, a ridge will dominate the Gulf waters supporting gentle to moderate winds and seas 4 ft or less. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Latest surface observations indicate fresh to strong winds over the south central Caribbean. Moderate to fresh winds over the north central and eastern Caribbean as well as the tropical N Atlc forecast waters. Gentle to moderate winds prevail over the western Caribbean. Seas are in the 7-9 ft range over the south central Caribbean, 5-7 ft over the north central Caribbean, and 3-5 ft over the remainder of the Caribbean waters. Over the tropical N Atlc forecast zones, seas are in the 4-7 ft range. The fresh to strong winds will prevail in the south- central Caribbean through today before diminishing. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...
