A surface trough will develop during the evening hours over the Yucatan Peninsula before pushing offshore into the SW Gulf each night. A surge of moderate to fresh NE to E winds will accompany this trough. Otherwise, a ridge will dominate the Gulf waters supporting gentle to moderate wind. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Fresh to strong winds and building seas to 10 ft will prevail in the south-central Caribbean trough Wed. Otherwise, a tropical wave moving across the central basin will continue to generate showers and tstms in Hispaniola on Sun and across Cuba Mon through Wed. A better defined tropical wave will approach the waters E of the Lesser Antilles on Tue, bringing fresh easterly winds and seas around 8 ft. The wave will enter the E Caribbean on Wed supporting heavy showers and tstms in the NE basin. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...
