A surface trough will develop along the western Yucatan Peninsula during the late afternoons, then drift westward across the southwest gulf waters during the overnight hours accompanied by a fresh east to southeast wind shift with the trough dissipating along 96W during the late mornings. A surface high near 27N93W will meander over the northwest gulf waters through this afternoon while a weak trough over the northeastern gulf waters stalls. Remnants of the trough will drift west and dissipate on Fri. Gentle to locally moderate anticyclonic flow forecast across the entire gulf waters beginning Fri night and persisting through the upcoming weekend. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Strong easterly trades expected off the northwest coast of Colombia and across the Gulf of Venezuela through late morning, with the strong nocturnal pulses then forecast through the upcoming weekend with seas building to 9 ft. A tropical wave along 82W will pass through the west Caribbean through late Fri. A second tropical wave along 68W will continue west reaching the western on Fri and Sat. A third tropical wave along 42W will reach along 55W late Thu and enter the east Caribbean by early Sat. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... An east to west ridge will meander from near 29N65W to 27N80W for the next several days as a weak cold front stalls just off the northeast coast of Florida and gradually dissipates through late Fri.
