A surface trough will develop along the western Yucatan Peninsula during the late afternoons, then drift westward across the southwest gulf waters during the overnight hours accompanied by a fresh east to southeast wind shift with the trough dissipating along 96W during the late mornings. An east to west ridge will extend across the gulf waters between 26N and 27N with a surface high developing along the ridge near 27N93W today. The high will meander over the northwest gulf through late Thu, as a weak trough moves southeast into the northeastern gulf waters where it will stall on Thu, and then drift west and dissipate on Fri, with anticyclonic flow across the gulf waters late in the week. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Strong nocturnal easterly trades expected along the northwest coast of Colombia and across the Gulf of Venezuela through early Thu. A tropical wave along 83W will continue west and pass through the western Caribbean on Tue night. A second tropical wave along 63W will pass through the central Caribbean during mid week. A third tropical wave in the central Atlantic along 35W will reach along 55W on Thu. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... An east to west ridge will meander from near new to Port Canaveral Florida for the next several days. A broad north to south orientated surface trough along 74W will continue west passing through the Bahamas on Tue.
