A surface trough will develop along the western Yucatan Peninsula during the late afternoons, then drift westward across the southwest gulf waters during the overnight hours accompanied by a fresh east to southeast wind shift with the trough dissipating along 96W during the late mornings. Otherwise, an east to west ridge will extend across the gulf waters between 26N and 27N through tonight accompanied by gentle to moderate anticyclonic flow. A surface high will develop along the ridge near 27N91W on Tue, and meander over the western gulf waters through Thu, as a weak trough moves southeast into the northeastern gulf waters where it will stall on Thu, and then drift west and dissipate on Fri. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Strong to near gale force nocturnal easterly trades expected along the northwest coast of Colombia and across the Gulf of Venezuela through the middle of the week, with the strong winds expanding as far north as 15N tonight, with seas building to 10 ft. A tropical wave along 76W will continue west and pass through the western Caribbean by mid week. A second tropical wave will reach along 55W tonight, and pass through the east Caribbean by mid of the week. A third tropical wave in the central Atlantic along 32W will reach along 55W on Thu. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... An east to west ridge will meander from near 30N65W to Port Canaveral Florida for the next several days. A broad north to south orientated surface trough along 72W will continue west passing through the Bahamas through Tue.
