A surface trough will wander over the west-central Gulf through Fri, then dissipate as the associated mid to upper-level trough weakens. Widespread showers and thunderstorms are likely in the vicinity of the trough. A surface trough will form each day over the Yucatan Peninsula, then move over the Bay of Campeche at night. A ridge extending across Florida will gradually lift northward, allowing moderate SE return flow over the basin through Mon. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Fresh to locally strong trades are expected over the central Caribbean. The area of strongest winds will shrink in size and become confined along the coast of Colombia through Sun night as the ridge to the north weakens. A small area of fresh to strong winds will pulse over the Gulf Honduras each night. A tropical wave along 65W will move into Central America on Sun.
