Latest surface observations indicate fresh to locally strong winds over the NE Gulf, moderate to fresh over the SW Gulf, and gentle to moderate winds elsewhere. Seas are in the 5-6 ft range over the NE Gulf, and 1-3 ft elsewhere. A cold front will move over the northern Gulf waters through Wed. The front will become stationary and weaken to a trough by Thu. Elsewhere, a surface trough will move off the Yucatan Peninsula into the Bay of Campeche each evening, accompanied by fresh nocturnal winds. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Latest surface observations indicate fresh to strong winds over the south central Caribbean, light to gentle winds over the western Caribbean, and moderate to fresh winds over the remainder of the Caribbean as well as the tropical N Atlc forecast zones. Seas are in the 6-8 ft range over the south central Caribbean, 3-4 ft over the western Caribbean, and 4-5 ft over the remainder of the Caribbean waters. Over the tropical N Atlc forecast zones, seas are in the 5-6 ft range.
